The best of Northern Portugal in one week
Start in the wild mountains of Peneda-Gerês, walking between shepherd villages, sanctuaries and Roman roads. Then head to the coast to walk a stage of the Portuguese Coastal Camino de Santiago in Viana do Castelo, and finish in Porto.
Every hike is led by a certified local guide. We take care of hotels, transfers, picnics and luggage — you just walk.

Itinerary
Your week, day by day
- Arrival in Porto and transfer to the National ParkA member of our team meets you at Porto Airport. Private transfer to Peneda-Gerês (approx. 1 h 30) and welcome briefing. Overnight in a 3★ hotel in the National Park.
- Castro Laboreiro — summer and winter villagesGuided hike between brandas and inverneiras (11.6 km; +475 m / −430 m). Packed lunch and visit to the Castro Laboreiro Museum. Overnight in Castro Laboreiro.
- Peneda — the sacred mountainShort transfer to Peneda (20 min). Visit to the mountain sanctuary and circular hike (11 km; +565 m / −510 m). Packed lunch. Overnight in Castro Laboreiro.
- National Park tour or free dayJoin a guided tour of the park's most iconic places (included), or simply rest. Packed lunch. Overnight in Castro Laboreiro.
- Soajo — history and traditionTransfer to Soajo (45 min). Circular hike in the Soajo mountains (10 km; +365 m / −410 m), traditional picnic with mountain views and a stroll through the village. Transfer to Viana do Castelo. Overnight in a 3★ hotel.
- The Camino de Santiago on the Atlantic coastGuided walk on the Portuguese Coastal Way (14 km; +133 m / −120 m). Lunch in Viana do Castelo and free afternoon. Overnight in Viana do Castelo.
- PortoTransfer to Porto (40 min). Walking tour of the historic centre: Ribeira, Cathedral, São Bento Station and Palácio da Bolsa. Lunch on the Gaia riverside. Overnight in a 4★ hotel.
- DeparturePrivate transfer to Porto Airport. End of our services.

No, but you should be comfortable walking 10–14 km a day on uneven terrain.
