The experience
Where traditions are not in the past
In Soajo, traditions are not in the past. Walk the village's northern slope, where shepherds still share the care of the herds, follow centuries-old paths past watermills once used to grind corn for bread, and stop at natural lagoons and waterfalls.
End the walk in Soajo village, famous for its granite granaries (espigueiros) standing together on a rock above the valley.
- Soajo's granite granaries (espigueiros) and pillory
- Old watermills
